Every time a main bolt is undone, it should be replaced. At around £9.80 per bolt this becomes a very costly part of an engine rebuild. After extensive tension and material research and analysis, we’ve found an equivalent part which we now use in almost all of our M50 and M50TU engine rebuilds.

The BMW block design allows the standard main bolts to be used reliably at over 700hp for extended periods of time and with little requirement for upgrade you can save yourself quite a lot of money when compared to not only the cost of main studs, but the then-also-required line-hone from a machine shop.
